ABOUT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

LOLA ANDRÉ

There’s so much joy tucked into everyday life, and I love using my camera to hold onto those pieces of it. Whether I’m photographing an intimate wedding or an afternoon with your family, my goal is always the same:  to create images that make you wish you could relive those exact moments. I love how photography invites others into my perspective on how I visualize moments, but also challenges me step into your version of the narrative. The creative process continues after the wedding day or session is over because once I’m behind my laptop screen, I get to begin the selection and editing of images that I believe tell your story best. Every session gets my full devotion to telling the story of that day whether it was just an hour long photoshoot or a full wedding day. I think it’s so special to be able to create and gift a gallery that truly replicates the time when the photos were taken.

I never planned on becoming a photographer. While working as a Social Media Coordinator at my church, I picked up a camera for the first time. You might expect me to say something just clicked, but it actually didn’t. It wasn’t until later that I realized I was getting to relive the joy people experienced in church week after week. I loved looking back on moments of people gathering, worshiping, and simply enjoying each other’s presence. I also loved editing and shaping those captured moments into a cohesive story and visual style that reflected our community.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually doing something that fills me up, such as dancing, finding new non-toxic lifestyle swaps, thrifting, browsing farmers markets and lifting weights. By focusing on habits that keep me feeling good inside and out, I believe that I can show up better for others.

My Values

My faith in God is the foundation of my life and my work as an artist. His love and humility shape every decision I make and the way I serve others. I believe He is the ultimate Creator, and that humans are live reflections of His image. Every part of us humans tells a story of the Creator’s design and photography allows me to honor that natural beauty by putting motion into frames.

Family

I am deeply grateful for wonderful parents who have been married for 28 years, along with two younger brothers who I can always expect to make me laugh. Family vacations is what really got me excited to implement film more into my life. I love bringing my camera along on our trips and documenting both creation and my favorite people.

I studied Communication in college at SDSU because I truly believe it is the foundation of every trustworthy and respectful relationship. That belief carries directly into how I work with my clients today. Clear and consistent communication is one of the most important parts of my process. I want every client to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and fully understanding what to expect when working with me. From the first inquiry to final delivery, I aim to be transparent and easy to reach so there is never uncertainty along the way.

Observation

Observation shapes the way I approach every wedding and session. I show up ready to pay attention to details others miss and oh gosh it’s the best when I think about couples getting to see these moments for the first time when viewing their wedding gallery. Purposeful observation allows me to capture what makes each story unique!

Storytelling

Storytelling is about preserving the feeling of your wedding day and stringing moments together to create a cohesive gallery of still images that give the feeling of watching your wedding back on a tape. Through documentary wedding photography, I strive to create timeless imagery that feels beautiful and genuine. What a gift it is to tell a story that highlights the uniqueness of every client’s personality, love story, and style!
