Couples Session at Balboa Park in San Diego

If you’ve ever walked through Balboa Park in San Diego, you know it’s one of the most iconic places in California for photos. The architecture, the gardens, the soft light that hits the walkways in the afternoon make this spot beautiful for engagement photos and couples session. San Diego is special to me because I lived there for school and met one of my best friends. I’m so filled anytime I get to visit.

Balboa Park is known for its variety, which makes it a dream location for me ( your photographer) and a couple who wants both timeless and artistic photos. For this session we allowed the environment guide us. Instead of stiff poses, I encouraged them to explore and interact with the space. I love making sure my couples sessions lean into the documentary style that captures how they genuinely interact with each other. I love how their outfits had character and texture to personalize these photos even more. The elegance if Balboa Park is truly unmatched.
