No need to ask me how ordering Matcha led to a photoshoot because I’ll tell you.

While visiting San Diego, I picked up some shifts at my old job. A girl who worked across the street came in and ordered matcha. We started chatting and I got along great so I asked if she happened to have aboyfriend and would be interested in modeling for me. I wanted to do a shoot in Downtown San Diego of my friend and her boyfriend, however, her byfrien’ds work schedule got in the way. I’m so glad this worked out because it pushed me out of my comfort zone and I was so happy with the results. Greer and Nathaniel were the first couple I shot who were strangers. It was such great experience for me to learn how to pose a couple I wasn’t familiar with at all, as well as spend the few hours walking around downtown and looking for spots to shoot! They were both so friendly and easy to get along with. I’m so thnakful they trusted me enough to take time out of their evening to let me practice taking photos on them. Their chemistry was amazing for the photos and they showed up in the most perfect outfits. I wish the red & black dress Greer wore was apart of my closet.

One thing I’d like to improve upon is lowering my aperature. The lens I was using didn’t go lower than 3.5 but I often even had it higher. During my next trip to San Diego I’m excited to see how my skills will have improved!
